Enabling police officers to issue traffic notices from a secure, customised mobile app.
When speed and accuracy matter most
Accuracy and efficiency are key attributes to the New South Wales Police Force, and we like to help where we can.
By digitalising the ticketing process, officers are able to quickly access all the information they need, such as driver and vehicle registration, before issuing an infringement notice.
Entering the details of the incident directly into the app reduces the amount of paperwork required, and the number of errors that occur after the event.
This iPad app was designed as a simple, highly secure way of issuing infringement notices. Theses iPads are locked down and triggered to wipe all information should anyone attempt to access the app without the proper permissions.
Information entered into mNotices is sent directly to the Computerised Operational Policing System. No sensitive material is stored on the device. If the officer does not have access to 4G or WiFi at the time of the incident, the data is queued to send immediately once the device is back in range.
Drivers can also choose to receive their infringement notice via email, MMS or in the post. How convenient!
No need for paperwork
Using mNotices to issue infringement notices makes the work of a New South Wales Police Officer more efficient, and arguably, more enjoyable.
Less opportunity for error and faster turnaround times means every officer can spend more time doing what they love to do: protect and serve.
Automatically capture current location information, attach relevant photos and enter additional material about the incident.
Officers are able to use mNotices to issue infringement notices to offenders directly from the mobile app, removing the need for paper notices.
Perform secure, live lookups of vehicle registration, licenses and other vital information in the New South Wales Police’s central Computerised Operational Policing System (COPS).
